The chosen what?

President Donald Trump recently declared that he is the ‘Chosen One’, perhaps in jest…perhaps not. There are assuredly some basic traditional prerequisites that must be met before the modern messiah can be confirmed.

By all accounts the first saviour had hair down to his over burdened shoulders, no comb overs, just good healthy hair thanks in part to Mary the sister of Martha and Lazarus who offered treatment with perfumes. Might work for the new redeemer, who knows?

Washing the feet with flowing hair, another prerequisite, could be a problem. Perhaps a professional acquaintance with some fetish experience could be brought out of retirement for that particular chore. However, the ‘Chosen One’ must refrain from grabbing the lady inappropriately while she is completing the task.

“The contemporary deliverer would have to fathom that he cannot buy his or any other kingdom, none are for sale.”

The new ‘Chosen One’ would be obliged to refer to the old testament for guidance as did the original redeemer. “Do not oppress a foreigner; you yourselves know how it feels to be foreigners, because you were foreigners in Egypt.” (Exodus 23:9)  This obligation could be fulfilled by sending the gun toting, white supremacist, racist supporters back to where they came from. Alternatively the present contender’s resorts may provide the best asylum but the undocumented immigrant staff may cringe at the thought.

“Then people brought little children to Jesus for him to place his hands on them and pray for them. But the disciples rebuked them.” Matthew 19:13-14 The latest messiah would be required to show compassion for children even if his disciples see fit to put them in cages indefinitely, unwashed and hungry.

The contemporary deliverer would have to fathom that he cannot buy his or any other kingdom, none are for sale.

Performing miracles would be expected to prove legitimacy, this could be achieved by showing statesmanship, intelligence, honesty and empathy, this would truly be a miracle in the present context.

Cannabis, CBD and GSG.

For the most part cannabis and the CBD extract appear to provide a useful substitute for alcohol, cigarettes and some of the more harmful drugs.

After God Almighty finished sculpting Adam and Eve, he was good enough to inform them they could utilize any herb from the garden. “And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.” Genesis 1:29 . While certainly open to interpretation like everything else in the bible, this sentence offers possibilities for the cultivation of cannabis in the famous garden.

“The garden is open for business and knowledge is much more difficult to suppress amongst an enlightened flock.”

However, its doubtful Adam and Eve smoked a joint in the orchard, since they appeared edgy most of the time. With God on their case about the tree of knowledge they probably had little chance to learn about the added merits and joys of some of the Almighty’s plants and herbs.

Knowledge was once again suppressed in the 1930’s by the likes of by Harry Anslinger, “Harry Jacob Anslinger was a United States government official who served as the first commissioner of the U.S. Treasury Department’s Federal Bureau of Narcotics. He was a supporter of prohibition and the criminalization of drugs, and played a pivotal role in cannabis prohibition.” Harry Anslinger “conflated drug use, race, and music to criminalize non-whiteness and create a prison-industrial complex.”

Gods brood has been denied the use of the cannabis plant and it’s derivatives from many quarters, however, the times they are a-changing. The garden is open for business and knowledge is much more difficult to suppress amongst an enlightened flock.
